Tidbit ("the app," "we," "us") is a daily trivia app. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and how it's used.
Every install gets an anonymous account automatically, with no sign-up step. You can optionally link that account to your Apple ID ("Sign in with Apple") so your data can be restored on another device or after a reinstall. Your account data is stored with our backend provider, Supabase, and includes:
Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see or store your payment details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status across devices; RevenueCat receives your anonymous account ID and subscription/purchase events from Apple, not your payment information.
If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. This doesn't involve sending your data anywhere — it's handled entirely on-device by iOS.
We rely on the following services to operate the app, each of which processes limited data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:
You can permanently delete your account and its associated app data (facts read, quiz history, streaks, bookmarks, custom categories, and settings) at any time from within the app: Profile → Delete Account. This action cannot be undone.
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are billed and managed directly by Apple through the App Store, independently of your in-app account, and will continue to renew until cancelled. If you have an active subscription, cancel it separately in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device (or via the app's "manage subscription" option) to stop future charges.
Tidbit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
